Mirela Cami

Mrs. Cami currently serves as the General Director at the Directorate for Higher Education Policy Development and Scientific Research at the Ministry of Education and Sports. Prior to this role, from April to November 2019, she held the position of Deputy Director at the Health Care Services Operator (OSHKSH) and was later appointed as the General Director at OSHKSH under the Ministry of Health and Social Protection.

From February 2015 to March 2019, Znj. Cami worked as the Officer responsible for Transparency, and good Governance on a project funded by the Swiss Embassy and implemented by Swiss Tropical Public Health Institute, Terre des Hommes, and Save the Children. Between December 2010 and May 2014, she served as Monitoring & Evaluation Officer and later as Regional Manager for a USAID-funded project managed by Abt Associates Inc.

Earlier in her career, from 2004 to 2010, Znj. Cami worked at the Ministry of Health and Social Protection, where she contributed to the development and monitoring of healthcare strategies and policies.

With over 30 years of experience in various public administration roles and international organizations, Znj. Cami has actively participated in numerous training programs, both domestic and international, covering areas such as leadership, data collection and analysis, and policy monitoring & evaluation.

She holds degrees in Mathematics from “Aleksandër Xhuvani” University in Elbasan and Economics from the University of Tirana, as well as a Master’s in Business Administration from the University of New York in Tirana.
