Gerti Janaqi received a master’s degree in psychology and social sciences from University of East London in 2006 and a PhD in psychology from the University of Tirana, department of psychology in 2013. Since 2002 he has worked as a lecture at the department of Psychology and pedagogy in Faculty of Social Science in University of Tirana.
From November 2013 until may 2019 he leaded the Institute for educational development, part of Ministry of education and sport of Albania. From May 2019 until now, he leads the agency for quality assurance on preuniversity education system in Albania.
His research covers the themes of educational policy, educational governance, professionalism and organizational behavior, curriculum designation, external and internal assessment, quality assurance tools, assessment of the performance of the educational system etc. He has has coordinated different research projects on education funded by international and national donors.
