334 certified principals – a significant step toward strengthening educational leadership

The Center for School Leadership organized the Graduation Ceremony 2025, during which 334 principals and aspiring principals were certified, including the first cohort of principals from the preschool education system.

This ceremony marks an important milestone in strengthening the professional leadership of educational institutions in Albania and in raising the standards of school leadership.

Welcome remarks were delivered by Ms. Mirela Kumbaro, Minister of Education, Mr. Martin Mata, representative of the Albanian American Development Foundation (AADF), and Ms. Anuela Ristani, representative for Municipality of Tirana for Preschool Education. The speakers emphasized the fundamental role of qualified leadership in improving the quality of pre-university and preschool education.

During the ceremony, projects with the highest impact developed by program participants were recognized as concrete examples of leadership grounded in vision, accountability, and continuous improvement. In addition, four Merit Scholarships were awarded, in partnership with the Harvard School Leadership Training Center, to participants who achieved the highest academic and professional results.

Leadership in education is not a luxury — it is the foundation of sustainable development and a guarantee of quality education.
