Call for Applications: Third Round for the Compulsory Training Program for Certification of principals in Vocational Education and Training (VET)

The Center for School Leadership is opening its third call for applications for the Compulsory Training Program for Certification of Principals in Pre-University Education Institutions.

This call is open to all currently serving school principals/deputy principals, as well as teachers aspiring to become principals or deputy principals in institutions offering Vocational Education and Training (VET).

Interested candidates must ensure they meet the following criteria before starting the application process:

Criteria for current principals/deputy principals and teachers aspiring to become leaders:

  • Hold a master’s degree or equivalent academic qualification.
  • Have 3 years of work experience, including at least 1 year in management.
  • Possess certified knowledge of information technology.
  • Preferably have knowledge of English and/or other foreign languages.

Required documents for application and submission procedure:

  • Application request for the Training Program.
  • Motivational letter from the applicant.
  • Curriculum Vitae (CV) according to the Europass format.
  • Photocopy of a valid identification document.
  • Payment receipt for the application fee of 1000 ALL to the Center for School Leadership’s bank account.
  • Certificate for disciplinary measures issued by the employer.
  • Management experience (outside or within the VET system).
  • Training certificates in management and leadership, foreign language diploma, and ICT.
  • Self-declaration form confirming no criminal convictions.
  • A project for the development of the pre-university system institution, aligned with the National Strategy for the Development of the Pre-University System in Albania.
  • Copies of university diplomas, transcripts, and professional license (if applicable).
  • Proof of management experience, copy of qualification category (if applicable), foreign language certificate, and ICT.
  • Recommendation letter from the current institution’s management. If the applicant is not currently employed, the letter must be from the last educational institution.

Notarization of documents is not required; a simple copy is sufficient.

Before starting the online application, ensure that all documents are scanned in electronic format. The documents must be uploaded to the system through the applicant’s account, which they will create.

Deadline for submission and evaluation process: Applications will be accepted from January 15 to February 15, 2025.

Applications will be reviewed by the candidate evaluation committee according to the categories and scoring set out in the “Professional Development and Qualification of Directors/Deputy Directors of Educational and Vocational Training Institutions in Albania” guidelines.

The Center for School Leadership will organize the evaluation, admission, and registration process for current leaders in the training program for leaders of educational and vocational training institutions in Albania, according to the regulation approved by the Board of Directors of the Center for School Leadership.

Candidates who pass the selection filter and are accepted into the training program will be notified about their registration time and training schedule.
