Short description

 

The subject of history helps students to develop a broad sense of humanity, to understand the development of their personality, how they resemble and differ from others in relation to time and space, to distinguish the difference between assumption and fact, to understand the complexity of the historical issue and to respect the authenticity of the historical sources, distinguishing the false analogy, to recognize the abuses from the historical “lessons”, to weigh the consequences that come from them. All these knowledge, skills, values, and attitudes are the elements that will be conveyed through this module.

Expected results

 

At the end of this training, the participants will be able to:

  • evaluate the importance of the subject of history in pre-university education;
  • analyze the innovations and elements of history programs in pre-university education;
  • analyze the common elements between the subjects that make up the field (goals, competencies, etc.);
  • determine the innovations of the new curriculum in terms of its planning in the school;
  • design lesson plans that implement the requirements of the curriculum with competencies;
  • identify teaching methods and techniques that create opportunities for the development of competences in the subject of history.
